As of 4.06.2017 you must have a 3ds on 11.2 with cfw in order to do this! We're still waiting for cfw to be released on 11.3! ~ downloads ~ twloader. I want to play a DS game on my 3DS through the SD card. I have the.nds File on my computer however I do not know how to put it on the SD card in a way so the 3DS can read it. In your 3DS user manual it's mentioned that if you'll mess with the wrong folders (games, savegames etc.) on your SD card, it'll become unusable, as in the 3DS won't recognize it anymore. You can't even use more than one SD card IIRC (not 100% sure on this one). Nintendo DS R4 card - Used to emulate a Nintendo DS game card. You can find these online or in some tech stores. MicroSD card - Storage for your ROMs. Try to find a microSD card with at least one gigabyte (1 GB) of RAM. MicroSD card adapter - A card that can plug into your computer's SD card slot. A card adapter often comes with the microSD card.
I want to take the games and the saved progress off of the 4 GB card that came with my system and put them on the new card.
Respond : You have to copy all data from the source SD/MicroSD Card, not only some file(s).
How do I do this without using a computer?
Respond : please, ... try on a Tablet or Cellular or an other electronic devices, ... with a SD Card reader. Simply copy all data from the source SD Card, to a cloud directory software like, 'OneDrive, DropBox, ...' or inside a directory on a electronic device(s).
You can also wait, that people at Nintendo, will made an 'firmware update', that include cloud transfert.
[for information only] How to Transfer Data Between SD Cards or microSD Cards Here
An other way, .. is to use 'Wireless/cloud SD Card' & 'Wireless/cloud SD Card Reader'.
Please note : To be used with Nintendo 2DS, the 32 GB SD Card, need to be formated/changed in Fat32.
